Word & Picture Submission Agreement
For good and valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I grant the Iowa City Press-Citizen and its affiliates the right to publish my submission of [POETRY, SHORT FICTION, NON-FICTION (WITH A 3,000 WORD LIMIT) OR DIGITAL REPRESENTATIONS OF VISUAL ART PIECES (PAINTING, SCULPTURE, ETC.)] titled (the "Work") in "In situ: A collection of literary and visual arts from the Iowa City area" (the "Book") to be produced by the Iowa City Press-Citizen, as well as the right to publish, distribute, archive or use the Work in print, electronic, online or other format for any purpose throughout the world in perpetuity. I also authorize the Iowa City Press-Citizen and its affiliates to publish my name and picture in advertising and promotion relating to the Book, and to reproduce, publicize, broadcast and distribute copies of such advertisements or promotional material.
I understand that submission of my Work does not guarantee inclusion in the Book and that I will not have any right of approval over the use of the Work or the content of any advertising or promotional materials for the Book.
In addition, I represent that the Work I am submitting is my original work, that I have the right to authorize the Iowa City Press-Citizen to use the Work, and that its publication will not violate any copyright or other right of any third party.
